Photos don’t do this justice–especially the promotional photos. Review photos give you a better idea, but the real thing is still much better. Strikingly detailed and beautiful. Perfect form. Perfect paint job. Wish I had toys like this when I was a kid.

This baby cheetah is so cute I need to get the adult one. I especially love the shape of the head is because some of these toy cats they all look too similar to each other. Cheetahs have way smaller heads than a lot of big cats and a lot of the toys out there the head size is pretty much the same size.

My eldest wanted a leopard but I didn’t find listings for any available fast enough, so we put a cheetah on 6th birthday cake instead with a rainbow Pegasus unicorn!! They started to sink in but not a problem; I just cut some straws to put under their feet and it worked fine. The cheetah didn’t need support, but the Pegasus sank to its belly before I propped it up on some clear straws cut to the cakes height. Great realistic and extraoordinarily detailed representation of the worlds fastest land mammal though. It’s weird that all the animal figure prices are so different, I used to sort by cheapest price and buy them as potty training rewards but these days they’re so spendy I don’t know if we will do that or the mega packs of off brand animals. That’s the main complaint I would have; I know they’re a German toy company so for them they pay more in labor because of German labor policies, but it’s hard to justify such an expensive line when they’re not collectible would love to see a more cost conscious line from schleich because the children love them.🐆

I have many of their farm animals and dinosaur figurines so I expected the cheetah to be a similar size. It was about half the size of their cows and horses so it’s my bad for not checking the size but for the price I expected it to be larger. Overall nice details so I still gave it 4 stars.

I ordered this for a child with an animal figurine collection. I used to buy only Schleich but in recent years, I have noticed, as in this case, the paint job is not perfect like it used to be. One of the black markings on the face is darker than the one on the opposite side. The nose is barely painted. I decided to fix this with a tiny brush and acrylic paint rather than return it because she needs a cheetah cub and there are few available. Schleich needs precision artists like in the old days!

We bought the momma cheetah at Tractor supply, wish I had checked Amazon! I came home and bought the baby on Amazon! But later saw they sell them as a family! Last picture has both, the even have pawprints!
